Pumpkins are very fun to carve and put on display! You can either be creative and come up with your own design, or you can follow stencils or patterns. Just be sure to pick a pumpkin that is the right size for your artwork, and one that is not bruised or cut. It is also much easier if you have a few tools to help you along the way. We offer pumpkin carving kits here at Pa's Pumpkin Patch.
When you get ready to carve your pumpkin, wash your hands first to help keep bacteria away. Coat the exposed edges of the pumpkin with vaseline, and when your pumpkin is not on display, store it in the refrigerator in a plastic bag. This will help preserve your masterpiece.
Get your friends involved and have fun carving your pumpkins!
